OakGlenn Winery | Fine Wine and Entertainment

"Let's meet on the bluff!"
OakGlenn Winery, situated high on the Missouri River Bluff, commands a spectacular view of the Missouri River Valley. Live entertainment is featured on the outdoor patio or stage most Saturday and Sunday evenings in May through November. Oktoberfest celebrations take place every weekend in October.
A 16-panel exhibit of the Wondrous Life of George Husmann can be viewed in the George Husmann Wine Pavilion. Husmann owned the property in 1859 and is known for his influence in the wine industry.

2013 entertainment and other happenings at the winery...
I just finished up OakGlenn Winery's 2013 entertainment schedule. There's a lot of names I know and a few new acts that I haven't met yet. For those of you who already know me I'll see ya up on the bluff when the weather breaks. For those of you who haven't met me yet get ready. LOL! Have camera will travel...
This year we've changed a few things. We have extended our entertainment on the weekends from the beginning of May through November. From June through September we have two shows on Saturday. The early show is free and the late show has a 5 buck per person cover charge. All of the acts on Sunday have no cover as always. During Oktoberfest we have a single act playing on Saturdays with a 5 buck per person cover charge. Make sure to check our calendar for more information on each event. If you have any further questions feel free to call us.
Now I'm going to let you in on a little secret. Glenn makes his way down to the gate around 5:30 or so to collect the cover charge. Show up before then and guess what? You're in like flint with a lil more beer money in your pocket and we all know everyone likes having more money. I'm not sure how you'll beat him during Oktoberfest but if I figure something out I'll let you know.
That's it for now....
See ya on the bluff everyone.
Around Town:
May is around the corner and so is more live entertainment!
Before I fill you in I have to say that Mice is Nice put on great show during Wurstfest. After the performance was over I had the treat of photographing a wine pairing dinner. Pictures of Mice is Nice and a sneak peak of the dinner can be found on our sister site. May kicks off with the Wild Card Wine Trail on the 4th and 5th. Starting the same weekend is the official start of our Summer music events featuring a wide variety of entertainment for you music lovers out there. On the 4th Erik Brooks will be playing in the afternoon. For a complete list of who's going to be up on the bluff see our entertainment schedule page.
So now I'm in Hermann, how do I get around town?
Well one way is to hop on one of the Trolleys you see cruising up and down the streets or you can contact these fine folks as well. They'll pick you up and they know what's going on and where.

In 1997 the winery was named for the majestic oak tree that marked the driveway in honor of the owner, Glenn. The oak tree died a natural death in 2006. It has been preserved and now proudly displays the hand carved OakGlenn name plate residing at the wine pavilion. The winery is located 25 miles west of Washington, Missouri, two and a half miles east of Hermann just off of Highway 100.
